HUD SUPPORTIVE HOUSING PROGRAM
The United States Department of Housing and Human Services (HUD) is a cabinet department of the federal government’s Executive Branch.
It’s mission is to increase homeownership, support community development and increase access to affordable housing free from discrimination by forging partnerships with faith-based and community organizations that leverage resources and improve HUD’s ability to be effective on the community level.
TENNESSEE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (THDA)
THDA awards HOME funds annually through a competitive application process to cities, counties and non-profit organizations outside a local participating jurisdiction to implement homeowner rehabilitation or second mortgage subsidy programs.
THDA also funds annually nonprofit housing developers designated by the State as a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) to develop housing for sale to low and moderate income home buyers across all of Tennessee, including within local participating jurisdictions.

Community L.I.F.T. revitalizes neighborhoods through strategic investments in the areas of human capacity-building and economic and community development that result in sustainable thriving communities.
Community L.I.F.T., Corp also known as LIFT (Leveraging Investments For Transformation), emerged out of a citywide planning process called Greater Memphis Neighborhoods (GMN).
COMMUNITY ALLIANCE FOR THE HOMELESS
Community Alliance for the Homeless, Inc. links planners, providers, data, and resources to develop an effective and outcomes-driven system for ending homelessness.
The organization is a private, non-profit entity that provides planning, technical assistance, and service coordination to public and private agencies who are working to end homelessness in Memphis and Shelby County.
CITY OF MEMPHIS CHDO HOME PROGRAM
The Nonprofit Housing Center (NPHC) administers a program with competitive funding for designated Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs).
The funding consists of HOME set-aside dollars that are allocated to the City of Memphis, Division of Housing and Community Development by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to the Nonprofit Housing Center for designated CHDOs.
