The Promise Development Corporation is dedicated to making North Memphis communities better places to live, work and play. Since our founding in 2000, we've poured nothing but love and hard work into our once-thriving communities.

Mr. Theddy Wilkes has been a Promise client since 2014. Before receiving the keys to his new apartment at Merriwether and Poplar back then, he remembers how hard it was to obtain housing as a person classified as homeless.
Housing Development

Permanent, Supportive and Affordable Housing. Promise strives to provide affordable housing, help homeless families find permanent housing, and provide supportive services for chronically homeless or disabled individuals.

Housing Development
- Promise is focused on providing affordable housing, permanent arrangements for the homeless, and supportive services for the low-income housing community.
Workforce Development
- Promise provides jobs in our community and contracts with small businesses to provide the services we need in fulfillment of our mission.
Economic Development
- Promise Development Corporation provides property management and landscaping services. In addition, we contract with small businesses to provide services that we currently do not provide.
